Executive Summary

Membership of the various Fire Authority committees was agreed at the AGM on 15 June 2026. Changes to the make-up of the Performance Committee are proposed below for approval by the Authority.

Recommendation(s)

To approve the changes to the membership and roles of the Performance Committee as set out in this paper.

Information

It is proposed that County Councillor Luke Parker and County Councillor Liam Thomson join the Performance Committee.

County Councillor Russell Walsh will leave the Performance Committee. As County Councillor Ella Worthington is no longer a member of the Fire Authority, she is also by default no longer a member of any committee.

All four above named members are from Reform and therefore the political balance is unchanged.

County Councillor Mackenzie Ritson is already a member of the Performance Committee but will take up the role of Chair which has been vacated by County Councillor Ella Worthington.
